FAQ
What is a health coach?
A health coach is someone who works with one individual or a group to help change their behavior with techniques developed by psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. The focus can be on different aspects of life including but not limited to: weight loss, tobacco cessation, increase exercise, improve nutrition, decrease stress, and improve sleep. A health coach is not necessarily limited to topics of conversations, but may focus on one more than the other. Certifications for health coaches can vary, but the most recognized certification is the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches which collaborates with the National Board of Medical Examiners.
